CAT Result 2023: The result of CAT, the entrance exam that provides admission to IIMs, can be declared today. Candidates who appeared for CAT exam for admission to Indian Institute of Management (IIM) can check their score card by visiting iimcat.ac.in. For this candidates will need their registration ID and password. Students who have scored more than the CAT cutoff will be called for the Written Aptitude Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
Admission to these IIMs will be available through CAT – Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bodh Gaya, Calcutta, Indore, Jammu, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Sambalpur, Shillong, Sirmaur, Tiruchirappalli, Udaipur, Visakhapatnam.
Let us tell you that this year, out of a record 3.28 lakh registered eligible candidates, 88 percent candidates appeared for the exam. The CAT exam was successfully conducted on November 26, 2023 in computer based mode. The answer key of the exam was released on 5th December for which objections were given till 8th December.
CAT 2023 Result: Check this way
1) Visit the official website of CAT 2023 iimcat.ac.in.
2) Click on ‘Scorecard for CAT 2023’.
3) Enter User ID and Password details. And check the result.
Scores will fall into percentiles, understand how they differ from percentiles.
CAT scores will be released in percentile. Understand with example-
Suppose a student has secured 80 marks in an exam, that means he has secured 80 out of 100 marks. At the same time, if it is said that the percentage of a student is 80, it would mean that the marks of 80 students appearing in that exam are less than that. Similarly if I.I.M the cat If a student’s percentile in an exam is 98, it means 98 students are below him in that exam. It is important to know that in CAT exam, different percentiles are given based on performance in different sections. IIMs evaluate the percentile of all these departments to decide which department should be preferred for admission.
