UK CEO’s life saved by smartwatch: A CEO of a company living in Britain suffered a heart attack during a morning walk. But he was lucky that he had a smart watch, which saved his life. Paul Waffam, 42, is the CEO of Hockey Wales. Paul hails from the Morriston area of Swansea, UK. While walking, he felt a sharp pain in his chest, but even in pain, Paul used his brain and immediately called his wife Laura from his smartwatch. His wife rushed to the spot and took him to hospital, where he died due to immediate treatment.
Doctors said that the examination revealed that there was a blockage in his artery, due to which he had a heart attack. A team of doctors performed an emergency angioplasty to restore Paul’s blood circulation. In addition, a stent was inserted in his heart to deal with future blockage problems.

Wepham’s condition was further complicated by the development of pulmonary edema, a condition that causes fluid to build up in the lungs that can lead to a heart attack, however, hospital staff were able to provide treatment quickly. Wepham’s life was spared.
