Doordarshan Serials: Once upon a time Doordarshan was an entertainment box that had special offerings for children, elders, old people, women and viewers who could not hear or speak. Doordarshan took the important responsibility of making specials especially on Saturdays and Sundays, on which shows like Ramayana and Mahabharata were selected. Family shows like Humlog and Buniyad also have a special place. Apart from this musical shows like Chitrahar and Rangoli also made some days of the week special. One such show was telecast on Saturday on Doordarshan which was very popular among children.
