The new date of Bihar Police Constable Recruitment Exam may be declared soon. The state government has now handed over the Bihar Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment) to Shobha Ahotkar, a brilliant IPS officer of 1990 batch, which conducts the recruitment exam. SK Singhal has been removed from the post of CSBC Chairman before the completion of his tenure. Home Defense Corps and Director General cum Commander General Shobha Ohtkar of Fire Services has been given additional charge of CSBC (Central Selection Board).
The Bihar government has taken this strict decision after the 21 thousand Bihar police constable recruitment papers were leaked. 74 FIRs related to this have been registered in the state. Later, the investigation into the matter was handed over to the EOU.
With Ohtkar taking charge of CSBC, it is now expected that the new date for the Bihar Police Recruitment Exam will be announced soon. 21,391 constable posts in Bihar Police will be filled through this recruitment exam.
– Written test will be conducted first in this recruitment. The written exam will be of 100 marks. 2 hours time will be given to solve the question paper. There will be total 100 questions with one mark awarded for each correct answer.
– Only those who qualify the written test will be called for the next stage physical test. Merit list for selection will be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in physical test. There will be no interviews. Youths from other states can also apply for this recruitment, though they will not get the benefit of reservation.
, the final merit list for selection will be prepared based on the marks obtained in physical efficiency test in running, high jump and shot put. The marks of the written examination will not be included in the final merit list. Written test will qualify only. Only candidates who qualify in this will be able to enter the next stage of Physical Test (Physical Efficiency Test).
– Candidates will be selected category wise 5 times for physical test, keeping in view the reservation of vacancies on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination.
