CTET 2024: Last date to apply for CTET January 2024 exam has been extended. You can apply for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) till 27 November 2023. Last date for first application is 23 November 2023. Eligible and interested candidates who have not yet applied can apply by visiting CBSE CTET official website ctet.nic.in. CTET Exam will be conducted on 21 January 2024. This time the CTET exam will be conducted in 135 cities in 20 languages. There will be an opportunity to correct errors in the application form between 28th November and 2nd December.
Let us tell you that CBSE CTET conducts the exam twice every year. The first exam is conducted in the month of July and the second in the month of December. Successful candidates who have appeared in CTET Paper-1 will be considered eligible for Teacher Recruitment for Class 1 to Class 5. While the candidates who are successful in Paper-2 will be considered eligible for the recruitment of teachers for classes 6 to 8. Candidates who clear this exam can apply for appointment to the posts of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and Army Schools across the country.
When will the admit card come?
Admit cards of candidates will be issued two days before the examination. The CTET result will be declared at the end of February.
What should be the minimum marks?
To clear the CTET exam, any candidate needs to secure the minimum qualifying marks. CTET Minimum Passing Marks – For General category, minimum 90 marks out of 150 (60 percent) should be obtained, while for SC, ST, minimum 82 marks out of 150 (55 percent) should be obtained.
Exam Schedule
CTET Paper-2 will be held on January 21 from 9:30 AM to 12 PM. The paper will be of two and a half hours duration.
CTET Paper-1 will be held on January 21 from 2 PM to 4:30 PM. The paper will be of two and a half hours duration.
Exam Pattern
CTET Paper-1 (For Class 1 to 5) – There will be 150 questions of 150 marks.
Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory) – 30 questions of 30 marks
Language I (Compulsory) – 30 questions of 30 marks
Language II (Compulsory) – 30 questions of 30 marks
Mathematics – 30 questions of 30 marks
Environmental Studies- 30 questions of 30 marks
CTET Paper-2 (For Standard 6 to 8) – There will be 150 questions of 150 marks.
Child Development and Pedagogy (Compulsory) – 30 questions of 30 marks
Language I (Compulsory) – 30 questions of 30 marks
Language II (Compulsory) – 30 questions of 30 marks
Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teachers) or Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teachers) – 60 questions of 60 marks
Validity of CTET certificate will be for lifetime.
