The picture changed after the Supreme Court decision
The craze for D.El.Ed has increased after the Supreme Court struck down the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) notification dated June 28, 2018, regarding recognition of B.Ed in the recruitment of primary school teachers. After five years, 105 private colleges have sought affiliation of D.El.Ed. However, a large number of seats will remain vacant due to non-recruitment in the last five years.
