While sharing the screenshot, the country’s finance minister wrote that there is no ‘justice’ for SCs and STs in Congress. The recent incident in Karnataka’s Belagavi falls in the same category as Congress-ruled Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh have seen repeated atrocities on Dalits recently. BJP will hold a statewide protest

The Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will stage a statewide protest on Saturday over the incident. State president of the party B. Y. Vijayendra gave this information on Friday. Eight people have been arrested in connection with the incident while the search is on for eight other accused. The Karnataka High Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the matter.

It is being said that the woman’s son went missing on December 11 along with a girl from the same community. After which the woman was tied to a pillar in Belagavi’s Vantamuri village. Vijayendra told reporters that the eight accused are still absconding, so the state government is not taking the matter seriously.

He said that apart from this, the Chief Minister has not yet gone to the hospital to meet the victim.

Vijayendra alleged, “The assembly session is going on in Belagavi and the entire government is camping here, so an incident like this shows that criminals have no fear of the government and law enforcement agencies.”

Vijayendra said, ‘Tomorrow we will hold a state-level protest in all districts and taluka headquarters, in which a large number of women will participate.’
