DGCA big action against Air India, fine of 10 lakhs, notice also sent

Air India has been fined Rs 10 lakh for violating the rules by DGCA i.e. Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Along with this, the DGCA has also issued a show cause notice to the airline for failing to provide adequate security to passengers who face flight disruptions.

Let us tell you that a former senior pilot had complained to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the DGCA against Air India. This action has been taken only a few days after the investigation into the complaint was initiated. According to media reports, the complaint claims that the airline operated the Boeing 777 aircraft in the US without making necessary arrangements for emergency oxygen supply.
