New Delhi: Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has confirmed the news of the attack on her in Mumbai. Raveena Tandon was attacked on Saturday night when she was trying to defend her driver. The actress was accused of assaulting three women, including an elderly woman, after her driver allegedly hit her with his car. But, the CCTV footage makes it clear that the allegations are false and Raveena is yet to issue any formal statement. However, he shared the statements given by the police officers investigating the incident.
A senior officer of Mumbai Police told ‘Mid-Day’ that the complainant has made a false complaint in that video. We checked the entire CCTV footage of the society and found that when the family was crossing the same lane, the actress’ driver was reversing the car from the road into the society. The family stopped the car and asked the driver to check if anyone else was behind him before backing up the car. A brawl started between them on this matter. He concluded his statement by saying, ‘Nobody was injured in this incident. We checked the CCTV footage and found that the car did not hit anyone.
Raveena shared a statement on Instagram Stories to clarify the allegations leveled against her. On Sunday, a source also shared details of the incident with News18. The source told us, ‘The way the incident has been portrayed is wrong. CCTV footage from the area proves that a group of women came outside Raveena Tandon’s house in the evening and started shouting at the driver and assaulted him. She only joined them to save her driver.
