Bearish trend in stock market
Domestic stocks in early trade on Monday amid continued withdrawal of foreign funds Stock Markets BSE’s 30-share index fell Sensex It fell by 97.18 points to 65,697.55. The Nifty fell 15.3 points to 19,716.50. Among the Sensex companies, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Bajaj Finance and Ultratech Cement fell. Shares of HCL Technologies, NTPC, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, State Bank of India and Power Grid gained.

In other Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were in gains while Japan’s Nikkei was in losses. American markets closed with modest gains on Friday. Global oil standard Brent crude is trading at $81.17 a barrel, up 0.69 percent. According to stock market data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) on Friday poured in Rs. 477.76 crore worth of shares were sold.
