Ganesh Chaturthi 2023: Ganesh Chaturthi is coming in few days and people all over the world have started preparations for it. From bringing Ganapati Bappa’s idol to buying favorite things has started. Lord Ganesha is worshiped during Ganesh Chaturthi as per the ritual. It maintains happiness, peace and prosperity in the house. By installing an idol of Lord Ganesha, his favorite things are offered to him. But do you know that according to astrology there are some things that we should not offer to Lord Ganesha at all. Doing so may spoil your finished work. So let us know what things we should keep in mind while worshiping Lord Ganesha.

Do not plant basil

In fact offering Tulsi is considered essential in the worship of Lord Vishnu. Tulsi also has special importance in Sanatan Dharma. But offering tulsi in the worship of Ganapati Bappa is considered taboo. It is believed that Lord Ganesha rejected Tulsi’s marriage proposal, after which Tulsi cursed Ganesha for two marriages. Since then tulsi is not offered on the idol of Lord Ganesha.
Keep this in mind while offering Akshat
Akshat means undamaged, complete. Do not use broken Akshat while worshiping Lord Ganesha. Offer only that intact which is proof i.e. complete.
Do not eat onion-garlic
If you are bringing Bappa to your home and installing it, you should not use onions and garlic. You should eat very sattvic food.
Don’t look at the moon
It is believed that the moon should not be sighted on Chaturthi day. Seeing the moon on this day brings stigma on a person. This meant that they could be accused of something that would humiliate them.
Do not keep the idol in the dark
