Students will get 40 credit points for 1200 hours of study in a year. CBSE has sent guidelines to schools under the National Credit Framework. Although the credit framework is designed for all classes, it is specially designed for children from class 9 to 12. SOPs regarding integrated credit for both general and vocational education have been implemented. CBSE Director (Skill Education) Dr. Vishwajit Saha has sent guidelines to all schools in this regard. One credit point is determined for 15 hours of theory, while one credit point is for 30 hours of theory-practical combined.
Credit points are determined according to learning hours per subject. Many changes have also been made for the children of class 6 to 8. Credit points will also be awarded in vocational courses. Especially having 6th and 7th subject in 10th-12th board will give different benefits to the students.

CBSE 10th and 12th exam will not give percentage, division and distinction, know how best five score will be determined.
Children from 11 to 12 can take up to 47 credit points.
Students can take 40 to 47 credit marks for seven subjects in class 11-12. In this, 180 hours each have been prescribed for Language 1 and 2 which will carry 6 credit marks each. Subjects 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are prescribed 210 hours each. There will be 7 credit marks for this.

CBSE School Association Secretary Satish Kumar Jha said that credit points are being implemented for the first time. This will give children a greater advantage in enrolling in higher education after intermediate, where they will receive weightage on these credits. There will be a total of 40 credits for class 9 including all subjects. The same will happen in 10th. In this, under Language, there will be 120 hours each for three different languages and the credit points will be 4-4, while for Mathematics, Science and Social Science, 150-150 hours will be prescribed with credit points of five. . In addition under interdisciplinary area there will be 120 hours for 4 credit points in environmental education, 150 hours in vocational education for 5 credit points in skills subject. 60 hours are prescribed in physical education, wellness and art education, for which 2 credit points will be awarded.
