New Delhi. This is the first time in the history of international cricket that a batsman has had to return to the pavilion after a timeout. In the 38th match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Sri Lankan veteran batsman Angelo Mathews was dismissed in this unique manner against Bangladesh (SL vs BAN). This is the first time in the 146-year history of international cricket that a batsman has returned to the pavilion after a timeout.
