New Delhi. The two-match Test series against South Africa is considered important for the Indian cricket team. Skipper Rohit Sharma said a day before the match that this is going to be a big series for us. Team India is yet to beat South Africa at home in any Test series. The question is who will do wicketkeeping for Team India in this match. The former cricketer has said that KL Rahul should not be given this opportunity.
The first Test match between India and South Africa is going to start on Boxing Day i.e. December 26. The question is who will play the role of wicketkeeper for Team India in this match. According to hints given by coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma, they are considering KL Rahul as the first choice. In such a situation, it is becoming difficult for the team to include KS Bharat, who plays this role, in the playing eleven.
The former wicketkeeper suggested
Parthiv Patel, who has been wicketkeeping for the Indian cricket team for a long time, has advised Team India through social media on the choice of wicketkeeper in the first Test. The former wicketkeeper wrote, “The wicketkeeper for the Indian team in a Test match should be one who has consistently held this responsibility in the Ranji Trophy or first class.” Parthiv is clear that he wants KS Bharat to replace KL Rahul as wicketkeeper in the Test against South Africa.
