The stock market had a good start today. The BSE Sensex opened 207 points higher at 66381. Whereas, Nifty of National Stock Exchange today started the day at 19976 level. Adani Group shares are still soaring in early trade. On the other hand, Sensex was up 274 points at 66448. While Nifty was trading at 19974 level with an increase of 84 points.

The Nifty’s top gainers were Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, Adani Enterprises, Wipro and Grasim, while Power Grid, Sun Pharma, Coal India, BPCA and Bajaj Auto were the top losers on the Nifty.

If we talk about Adani Group stocks, they are still showing a bullish trend today. Adani Power rose 4.30 percent in early trade to Rs. was at 465.40. Adani Enterprises was trading up 1.30 percent at 2455. Adani Wilmar rose 5.42 percent, while Adani Total Gas jumped over 15 percent.

Adani Port was also on green mark. Adani Energy Solutions rose over 8 percent. ACC, Ambuja Cement and NDTV also had good gains.

In early trading, 2093 shares were traded on NSE. Out of them 1427 were bullish while 583 were in red and 83 were unchanged. In the trade till 9:30 am, 56 stocks took the upper circuit while 16 stocks took the lower circuit. At the same time, 97 stocks had 52 new week highs and 7 new lows.

The rupee rose 6 paise to 83.28 against the US dollar

The rupee rallied for a second straight session in early trade on Wednesday, rising 6 paise to 83.28 against the US dollar amid inflows of foreign funds into the US currency and local equities. Positive sentiment in the domestic equity market and softening crude oil prices also boosted the Indian currency, Forex traders said. In the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee opened strong at 83.30 against the dollar, but slipped to 83.33. It later traded at 83.28 against the greenback, up 6 paise from its previous close.
