Former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar’s residence in Lahore was attacked with a grenade on Wednesday evening, injuring two policemen. Police gave this information. “I and my family members were sitting in the living room when there was a loud explosion in my house,” Nisar told a private TV channel over the phone. When I reached the garage, two policemen stationed there were injured. They told me that unknown people threw a grenade into the garage and fled.

He said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital. He suspects that an attempt has been made to convey a serious message to him through this attack.
A Punjab Police spokesperson said that police have reached the spot and are investigating all aspects of the incident.
The country’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Lahore in October after spending four years in self-residence in Britain. They are constantly targeting the former CJP to oust him from power in 2017.
A Supreme Court bench headed by former CJP Nisar disqualified Nawaz in the Panama Papers case in 2017.
