New Delhi. The ODI World Cup matches are scheduled to be played in India from October 5. A total of 10 teams are participating in this tournament which will last till November 19. England are the defending champions of the tournament, while Australia have won the ODI World Cup title the most 5 times. Cricket Australia has announced the 15-member squad for the 13th season of the World Cup. Powerful batsman Marnus Labuschagne did not make it. Currently the Kangaroo team is on a tour of South Africa and a 5-match ODI series is being played between the two teams. Australia won by 123 runs in the second match of the series played on Saturday. This way he has taken a 2-0 lead in the series. Labashen scored an unbeaten 80 in the first match and a brilliant 124 in the second. Earlier, Australia swept the T20 series 3-0.
29-year-old Marnus Labuschagne was also not selected for the South Africa tour. Labuschagne is originally from South Africa. His father worked in a mining company. His family left the country and came to Australia when he was 10 years old.
The strike rate is also superb
Despite the team’s poor form against South Africa, Marnus Labusche scored runs at a good strike rate. He scored an unbeaten 80 off 93 balls in the first ODI. Hit 8 fours. The strike rate was 86. Talking about the second ODI, Labuschagne was dismissed after scoring 124 runs in 99 balls. The strike rate has been 125. In which there were 19 fours and one six. He was also the player of the match in both ODIs. As per ICC rules, all teams can make changes till September 27. In such a scenario, if Labuschagne manages to put up a similarly strong performance in the remaining 3 matches of the series, he could return to the World Cup squad.

In the second ODI, Australia batted first and posted a huge score of 392 for 8 on the back of quick centuries from Marnus Labuschagne and David Warner. Warner scored 106 runs off 93 balls. Hit 12 fours and 3 sixes. Travis Head contributed 64 runs and Josh English 50 runs. In reply, the host South African team was bowled out for 269 runs. No batsman could score a half century. Leg spinner Adam Zampa took the most 4 wickets.

Marnus Labusche has scored 3789 runs at an average of 53 in 76 innings of 43 Tests. He has scored 11 centuries and 16 fifties. 215 runs is the best performance. He has scored more than 10 thousand runs in first class cricket with 30 centuries.
