Today we are talking about IAS officer Ansar Shaikh. He faced many challenges during the preparation days but he did not lose hope and gave his 100 percent. Let us know what was his other strategy.
Ansar Sheikh hails from Marathwada district of Maharashtra, his father was an autorickshaw driver and his mother worked in the fields. The financial condition of the family was not so good, so his brother dropped out of school in the seventh grade to support the family.
Apart from lack of money, she also faced child marriage and domestic violence during her childhood. His family was struggling financially, so his family always asked the two brothers to do some job. His family never prioritized education due to lack of money.
On the other hand, Ansar Sheikh knew that only education could change the situation at home. He wanted to do something big right from the start, so he continued his studies. After some time he came to know about UPSC exam, he was very impressed by this exam. After this he started preparing for UPSC exam. He used to study 12 hours a day for the UPSC exam. He cleared UPSC 2016 in his first attempt. This year his rank was 361st. He was 21 years old when he passed the exam. He is currently serving as Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) in Dinhata, Cooch Behar, West Bengal.
This is how Ansar Sheikh was preparing for UPSC, this was the strategy
– We have told you that Ansar Sheikh used to study 12 hours a day to prepare for the exam. He would also take breaks in between studies to keep his mind fresh.
– In the first six months of UPSAC preparation, Shaikh fully focused on his optional subject Political Science preparation.
– In the next six months he prepared the General Studies paper.
– In the next three months, he completed his revision and remaining topics of UPSC Mains Paper.
– In next 9 months Ansar prepared for his prelim exam. After the prelim exam, they studied for the main exam in the next 100 days. Then after the mains exam, he prepared for his UPSC personality exam in 40 days.
– He usually studied 10-12 hours a day. Sheikh worked hard for 14-15 hours for the mains exam.
