‘If your daughter or son were in Gaza…’ Now Netanyahu is surrounded by his own people

Tel Aviv: The war between Israel and Hamas has been ongoing for more than two months. But there is no end to this war. On October 7, Hamas attacked Israel and took more than 250 people hostage. However, when a ceasefire was established early in the war, Hamas released many hostages. But many Israeli citizens are still under Hamas control. At the same time, the anger of hostages’ relatives against the Netanyahu government is growing, and this was exemplified when the victims began rioting during a statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced disruption from family members of hostages in Gaza, CNN reported. Holding posters with photos and names of their loved ones, relatives expressed their disagreement with the statement made in Parliament. Benjamin Netanyahu, who returned from a trip to Gaza, said the troops needed more time for their operations. Meanwhile the family members started shouting “no time”. However, in the meantime, Netanyahu continued his speech.

Reflecting on past conversations with families of fallen IDF soldiers, Netanyahu expressed his determination, saying, “Our sons did not die in vain. “We must not stop fighting until we have achieved complete victory over those who want to kill us.” After this, the family protested Netanyahu’s speech in the Knesset gallery. Posters brought by families read, ‘We believe you will take them home’, ’80 days, every minute is hell.’ On the opposition of the family members, Prime Minister Netanyahu said, ‘We have left no stone unturned.’
