Preparations for the annual placement fair at IIT BHU starting from 1st December are almost complete. As always Dhanrajgiri-2 Hostel has been prepared as a placement hub. CCTV cameras are also being installed in various rooms of the hostel to monitor the online interviews. A team of 150 students, employees and officers of the Training and Placement Cell is engaged in the arrangement. More than 1600 students have so far registered on the placement portal created by students of IIT BHU. 326 international companies have prepared for student interviews on around 450 profiles. Some of these companies will select students for more than one post and profile.
Like every time the high-rise Dhanrajgiri-2 hostel of IIT BHU is being converted into a placement hub. A team of teachers and students has also been formed for monitoring along with arranging interviews of companies in separate rooms. This arrangement is made to maintain transparency and high quality during placement. Apart from this, CCTV cameras are also being installed in all the rooms and corridors.
Arrangements have also been made to mark the attendance of every student appearing for the interview on the IIT’s placement portal. Along with this, the volunteers present at the entrance will also admit the students. Interview will start after 12 midnight.

Not difficult, would be impossible to copy
No student will be allowed to carry books or papers to the interview venue i.e. Dhanrajgiri-2 Hostel. He can only take his laptop and mobile. They will be given pen and paper in the room itself. They have to keep their mobile phones on the table which will be constantly monitored. Similarly, during the online interview, he cannot open any e-book or paper on the laptop. The software will automatically cancel their interview as soon as another window opens on the laptop.
