26 screens in 2023…
Compared to the year 2022, IMAX screens have also increased. India had a total of 22 screens in the year 2022, while their total number will increase to 26 in the year 2023. So far, a total of 39 films have been released on IMAX, of which 6 films were released in 2022 and 34 films in 2023. The Jawan-Pathans remained in the forefront
IMAX has announced that films released in the year 2023 in India alone will earn Rs. 166 crore ($20 million), which was $18.5 million in 2022. In which Christopher Nolan’s film ‘Oppenheimer’ was the highest grosser, collecting Rs 50 crore. Apart from this Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan and Jawaan were the most successful Indian films. Jawan collected Rs 13 crore while Pathan collected Rs 12 crore.
