This guy’s fortunes took such a turn that he got directly involved in the support staff of the international cricket team. This is the story of 29-year-old Lokesh Kumar, who went from being a food delivery boy to joining an international team within 48 hours. Lokesh has joined the Netherlands squad for World Cup 2023. He will train with the team as a net bowler and teach the Netherlands batsmen how to tackle spin bowling in the pre-World Cup starting in Allure.
Lokesh Kumar has been working as a food delivery boy for 5 years. The Netherlands team came up with an advertisement for a net bowler. Lokesh told Times of India about this, “This is one of the most precious moments of my career. I haven’t even played in the TNCA third division league yet. Lokesh had joined the Netherlands team’s camp a day ago, on Wednesday itself. He said that I have played in the fifth division for 4 years and registered for the fourth division organization Indian Oil (RO) S&RC for the current season. After being selected as a net bowler by the Netherlands team, I feel that my talent has finally been recognised.

He said that working as a food delivery boy indirectly helped him develop as a cricketer. According to Lokesh, after my college days my focus was on cricket. I played cricket for 4 years. Then decided to work in 2018. I have been with Swiggy for the past four years. I have no other source of income. This job is such that I can take leave whenever I want.
