New Delhi. The Indian cricket team’s tour of South Africa has had a bad start. In the first T20 match, Team India could not take the field due to rain. The second T20 match was rained out and the South African batsmen were also rained out. South Africa defeated India by 5 wickets in the second T20 match thanks to a brilliant performance by its batsmen. The South African team batted at a rate of more than 10 runs throughout the match and scored the required 152 runs to win in 14 overs.

The second T20 match between India and South Africa was played on Tuesday, December 12. Hosts South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first. One of the reasons for South Africa’s bowling selection must have been the forecast of rain, which proved correct.

India had a very poor start. Both his openers Shubman Gill and Yashaswi Jaiswal were dismissed without opening the account. This is the second time in the history of Indian T20 cricket, when both the openers did not lose the account. Earlier in 2016, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane got out without opening the account.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma rescued India from the early shock. Both of them took the team to 55 runs in the sixth over. Tilak Verma (29) was out on this score. After this, Surya and Rinku Singh became a couple. Both of them took the score of the Indian team to 125 runs. The pair broke up due to Surya’s exit. Surya played an innings of 56 runs in 36 balls. After this, Rinku Singh along with Ravindra Jadeja (19) took India’s score to 180 runs in 19.3 overs.
