The Australian cricket team made a comeback in the series by winning the third T20 International of the five-match series against India by five wickets. Despite this win, Australia trail 1-2 in the series. Guwahati’s Barapara Cricket Stadium was heavily rained on Tuesday. Rituraj Gaikwad scored a century for India and Glenn Maxwell scored a century for Australia. Glenn Maxwell won the match which Australia had completely lost. Australia needed 43 runs to win from the last 12 balls and it looked like Team India would win the third match to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series, but after this both Axar Patel and Ishtan Krishna were caught in Maxwell’s storm. Just flew by. Maxwell was brilliant in batting, but also had an embarrassing record in bowling. Maxwell bowled the last over for Australia and conceded 30 runs. After the match, Matthew Wade said that the over had put Australia in trouble. While enjoying Maxwell, Wade also said that he would not have scored a century if he had not given away 30 runs in that over.

Wade said after the match, ‘You can’t get a better result than this, it’s hard work. Because of Kane Richardson’s injury we had to give the last over to the spinner so the last over had to go to Maxwell. He played a strong game and scored a century in the 100th T20 international. I wouldn’t say I was confident about it. By the 19th over, India were 190 runs and I thought we were in the match. 30 runs in the last over. Richardson was injured and I had to bowl someone over.

Wade continued, ‘Everything went well in the end, if McIlwell had not scored 30 runs in the last over he would not have scored a century.
