The final and deciding One Day International of the three-match series between India and South Africa is scheduled to be played in Paarl. India won the first match of the series while hosts South Africa made a strong comeback by winning the second match. This match could be do or die for both the teams, but apart from that, it will be no less than a litmus test for Sanju Samson. In the first two matches of the series, only the team chasing the target wins, in which case the role of the toss becomes very important. Batting has been difficult in the first innings, while the ball has come to bat better in the second innings. Sanju Samson was selected in the ODI squad for the tour of South Africa, but did not get a chance to play in the first match. After the first match, captain KL Rahul said that Samson will definitely get a chance to play in this series and the same was seen in the second match as well.

What will be the playing 11 between India and South Africa in the deciding match of this series?
Samson made his T20 International debut in 2015 and ODI debut in 2021. Today’s match could be very important for Samson. He will have to play big innings to cement his place in the team, while another failure could end his international career. Samson never got a consistent chance in the team and hence never established his place in the team.
