Indian student killed in US, attackers fire multiple bullets into car

Washington. A young Indian student doing his PhD in America was shot dead. A PhD student in molecular and developmental biology at a university in the state of Ohio, USA, was shot dead inside his car. Aditya Adalkhan, 26, was shot on November 9 and died two days later. Aditya, a fourth-year doctoral student at the University of Cincinnati Medical School, was found inside a car that had crashed into a wall with multiple bullet wounds. He was taken in critical condition to UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, where he died.

According to reports, gunfire locator service ShotSpotter alerted police to gunfire in the area around 6.20 am on November 9. Passing drivers also called 911 to report a vehicle with bullet holes and a person inside who had been shot. Police found Adlakha inside the car. At least three bullet holes were visible in the driver’s side window of the car. The car was on the top deck of the Western Hills Viaduct. According to local media reports, no arrests have been made since the shooting was reported.

The medical college termed Adalkha’s death as a tragedy, issuing a statement expressing condolences to his family and friends.
