Equity Mutual Fund: Equity mutual funds rose 42 percent month-on-month in October to Rs. 19,957 crores. Investment flows into equity mutual funds have improved due to the continued attraction of investors towards small company funds. The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has released data in this regard on Thursday. In the month of September in this category Rs. 14,091 crore was invested. Earlier in August the investment was Rs. 20,245 crores.
October was the 32nd consecutive month when equity mutual funds inflows remained positive. In small cap funds Rs. 4,495 crore investment boosted the category. After this in the thematic fund Rs. 3,896 crore was inflowed. Apart from equity, in bond based schemes in October Rs. 42,634 crore was seen as a net inflow.

Due to which migration was seen from this section during the last two months. In September, from this segment Rs. 1.01 lakh crore and in August Rs. 25,873 crore was withdrawn. Overall, the mutual fund industry, comprising 44 companies, in the month under review raised Rs. 80,528 crore was seen as an inflow. While in September from industry Rs. 66,192 were withdrawn.
