IPL 2024 Most Expensive Players Released by Franchises Ahead of Mini-Auction – IPL 2024: Expensive players shown way out by franchises, these players accused, Cricket News

All the 10 Indian Premier League franchises have released their complete list of retained and released players. This time too many teams have shown the way to big players and some franchises have been shocked by their decisions. All the teams have released players, though Punjab Kings have released the least number of players from the squad. Kolkata Knight Riders released the most players. England fast bowlers Jofra Archer and Harry Brook were the big names to emerge among the international players.

For IPL 2024, teams had to submit the list of retained and released players by Sunday (November 26) and a total of 85 players were released by the franchises during this period. Kolkata Knight Riders released 12 players, while Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals released 11 players each. This time, English players who were sold at a very high price in last year’s auction have been released before the auction. Jofra Archer has been out of cricket for a long time due to injury, which has led Mumbai to show him a way out. Archer was bought for 8 crores.

Sunrisers Hyderabad showed a lot of faith in Harry Brook but he could not do wonders. Hyderabad bought Brook for Rs 13.25 crore. Ben Stokes and Joe Root have withdrawn from IPL 2024. Adil Rashid, Reece Topley, Chris Jordan, Phil Salt and David Willey were the other English players released by their teams.
