The last date to apply for JEE Main 2024 is just around the corner. You can apply for the biggest engineering entrance exam of the country till 30th November only. This means that only two days are left for the application. If an interested student has not yet applied he can apply. According to reports, more than 9 lakh candidates have applied for JEE Main so far. Last year 8 lakh 60 thousand students applied for JEE Main January session. After completing the application process, there will be an opportunity to amend the form.
Some candidates have complained that they have submitted complete application and also deposited the fee. But his fee has been returned to his account. Show his paid fees. In such a case, he can neither re-apply nor re-pay the fee. They fear that they may be deprived of submitting the application form.
JEE Main Session-1 exam will be held on 24 January and 1 February 2024 while Session-2 exam will be held on 1 April 2024 and 15 April 2024. Exam city information will be given in second week of January. Admit card will be issued three days before the exam date. G major Session 1 result will be out on 12th February.
Let us tell you that there are two papers in JEE Main. Paper-1 gives admission to BE/B.Tech. Paper-1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Courses (BE/B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other participating State Government funded/recognised Institutions/Universities. JEE Main exam is also the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced which is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper-2 is taken for admission to B.Arch and B. Planning courses in the country.
After the completion of JEE Main exams, the rank of students will be declared based on the best NTA score of both the sessions. Candidates securing first 2,50,000 rank in JEE Main result will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced test. Admission to IITs is through JEE Advanced.
Exam Pattern
JEE Main 2024 will be conducted as per last year marking scheme. Each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics – will be divided into two sections. Section A will have 30 questions and Section B will have 10 questions. That means the total number of questions in the paper will be 90. However, the candidate has to solve only five questions from Section B (Total 15), i.e. 75 questions to be solved.
As for the B.Tech-BE paper, it will have three subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry. Section A will have 20-20-20 questions from all three topics. Section B will have 10-10-10 questions from all the three topics. That means there will be total 90 questions. The first shift of computer based examination will be from 9 AM to 12 PM and the second shift from 3 PM to 6 PM.
