Kharmas 2023: According to belief, Kharmas begins when the Sun Lord enters Sagittarius. Kharmas lasts for a month and is a time in which many religious activities are not performed. Kharmas this year is starting on Saturday, December 16 and will end on January 15, 2024. Sun god and Devguru Brihaspati are specially worshiped during Kharmas days. There are many things that are considered very auspicious to do during Kharmas. According to belief, doing these things can please Surya Lord and Jupiter.
Mokshada Ekadashi 2023: Mokshada Ekadashi will be celebrated on this day, many auspicious yogas are forming.
Some activities are considered very auspicious in Kharamas.
- It is considered very auspicious to worship Sun God during Kharmas days. During this period arghya is offered to the sun after daily bath. It is auspicious to offer arghya with red flowers and red sandalwood to Surya. It can also strengthen the position of Sun in the horoscope.
- It is auspicious to chant one Akshar Bija Mantra of Surya on Kharmas days. Bija Mantra Om Ghrini: Suryay Namah can be chanted with red sandalwood beads.
- The sun god is specially worshiped on sunday. That is why it is very auspicious to observe fast every Sunday during Kharmas. Donation of jaggery, wheat, red or orange clothes can also be done on Sundays.
- Surya Chalisa can be recited. It is considered very beneficial.
- Worshiping Devguru Brihaspati in Kharmas is also very auspicious. Worshiping Lord Guru is believed to lead to progress in life. Vrat can be observed for worship on Thursday.
- Brihaspati Chalisa can be recited in Kharmas. Lord Vishnu can also be worshiped on this day.
- Om Bram Brihaspati Namah Mantra can be chanted in Brihaspati Puja.
