New Delhi. Indian fans’ hopes of a century from Virat Kohli in the final of the World Cup 2023 remained unfulfilled. In the title match of the tournament against Australia (India vs Australia), Virat was batting well but his innings ended on a score of 54 runs. King Kohli completed his half-century in 56 balls with the help of four fours. After completing the half-century, everyone was hoping that Virat would not only score a century but also play a major role in leading the Indian team to a big score.
Unfortunately, this was not to be and he was bowled by Australian captain Cummins after scoring 54 off 63 balls with four fours. Cummins was seen elated after dismissing the highest run-scorer in the current World Cup.
Earlier during the final, the security of the players was breached when a Palestine supporter broke through the security and entered the field. While running, he approached star batsman Virat Kohli and tried to put his hand on his shoulder. He was caught by the ground staff and the police were also seen in action. He has been arrested.
Kangaroos captain Cummins in the finals is amazing, Rohit, Kohli and Iyer are all superior.
This was Virat’s ninth score of 50+ in 11 matches of World Cup 2023. In the tournament, he remained unbeaten three times in 11 innings from 11 matches and scored 765 runs at an average of 95.62, including three centuries and six fifties.
