The deal was signed during PM Modi’s visit
The deal was announced during PM Modi’s US visit this year. Micron announced an investment of $825 million. The central government will bear 50 percent of the cost of this plant. Also, Gujarat government will provide 20 percent assistance. The total cost of this manufacturing plant in Sanand is 2.75 billion dollars. 5000 people will get jobs
Micron says the project will create 5,000 jobs. While 15,000 jobs will be created in other ways. To improve the supply chain of this plant, the government is talking about running high speed trains in the next 6 months. This train will run between Sanand and Ahmedabad.
