The rupee is strengthening against the dollar
The rupee opened at 83.30 against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market. After this it touched 83.27 per dollar, an increase of 13 paise from the previous closing price. The Indian rupee fell four paise against the US dollar to close at an all-time low of 83.40 on Wednesday. The dollar index, which tracks the dollar’s position against six major world currencies, fell 0.33 percent to 102.53.
