Delhi Fire Service received a total of 208 reports related to fire incidents on Diwali. Out of which 22 incidents were due to bursting of firecrackers and crackers. Department head Atul Garg said that so far 208 reports of minor, moderate and severe fire incidents have been received on Diwali. Our team was fully prepared to help. Major fire incidents were witnessed in Delhi’s Sadar Bazar, East Kailash and Tilak Nagar on Diwali. However, no official information has been received regarding any casualties in these incidents.

According to fire officials, a massive fire broke out in a warehouse at Deputy Ganj Market in Sadar Bazaar in Central Delhi on Sunday. 22 vehicles of fire brigade were sent to control the fire. A fire broke out in some firecracker shops in Gopalbagh area of Rai Police Station area of Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district on Sunday, in which nine people were burnt. Police sources said, “A few firecracker shops caught fire in Gopalbagh area. Nine people sustained burn injuries in the incident. They are being treated. Prima facie it appears that the fire was caused by a short circuit.” Sources said that a fire broke out in a shop. Due to the burning of firecrackers kept there, its sparks reached many shops nearby and the fire engulfed them all. Due to fierce fire there was chaos at the place. He said that fire brigade vehicles reached the spot as soon as the fire was reported.
