However, they will be able to improve their choice. New schedule of NEET PG Counseling Round-3 will be published on MCC website soon. Candidates are advised to keep visiting MCC website for updates.
IMA requested to lower the cutoff.
A few days ago, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) wrote to Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya seeking to lower the NEET PG 2023 cut-off percentile. This demand has been made so that maximum number of MBBS doctors can take admission in PG in various medical colleges and not a single PG seat remains vacant. The organization said that by reducing the cutoff percentile by 30 percent, most of the seats in both clinical and non-clinical branches can be filled.
The IMA said that because of the high cutoff, medical students are not only stopping from doing PG but also thinking of going abroad to pursue their dreams, so the administration should think about it at the earliest.
Let us tell you that around 2.9 lakh students had registered for NEET PG this year, NEET PG offers admission to MD, MS, DNB, Diploma courses, but this time the cutoff was significantly increased.
Till this order, the cutoff percentile in NEET PG 2023 is 50 for General/EWS category candidates, 45 for General PWBD and 40 for SC/ST/OBC.
