The National Medical Commission i.e. NMC has released the updated syllabus of NEET i.e. National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test 2024, the entrance exam conducted for admission to MBBS in medical colleges. Candidates who want to appear for NEET exam can check updated syllabus on NTA official website nta.ac.in. NMC has released an official notification for this on its website. The notice states that all the candidates who want to appear for the NEET exam should now prepare for the session 2023-24 only with the updated study material.
Let us tell you that according to NTA, the new syllabus of NEET UG has been prepared after discussions with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and various education boards of the country. This board cut the class 12 course during the corona epidemic. Batch, who is currently in Class 12, was in Class 9 in 2020 when the curriculum was cut due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Let us tell you that NTA has already decided the NEET exam date for the year 2024. The exam will conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test next year on May 5, 2024 at various exam centers across the country. The results will be declared by the second week of June 2024.
Currently, there are 1.04 lakh MBBS seats available for admission in medical colleges across the country. In which there are 54000 seats in government medical colleges. BDS has more than 27800 seats. 52700 are in AYUSH courses and 603 are in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.
A record 20.87 lakh students had applied for NEET last year. This number was two lakh more than in 2022. NEET, the entrance exam for admission to medical colleges, carries a total of 720 marks. It has 360 marks of Bio, 180 marks of Physics and 180 marks of Chemistry.
