Kane Williamson, who is recovering from a knee injury, will be the captain.
New Delhi. New Zealand have also announced their 15-member squad for the ODI World Cup in India starting on October 5. Injured Kane Williamson has been included in the squad and will lead the Kiwis in the World Cup. He is still recovering from the knee injury he suffered during IPL 2023. It is not clear how long Kane Williamson will be fit.
All-rounder Jimmy Neesham, who played an important role in the 2019 World Cup final, has also been named in New Zealand’s 15-man World Cup squad. Neesham batted in the super over in the final against England. However, the Super Over was also tied and England became World Champions for the first time due to the boundary count rule.

At the same time, Rachin Ravindra, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Glenn Phillips and Will Young will be seen playing in the ODI World Cup for the first time.
