A student of NIT Patna has received a package of Rs 45 lakh in pre-placement. The organization has already invited companies who have at least Rs. 6 lakhs package can be offered. Companies with packages less than this are banned. Recently, due to getting good rank in NIRF i.e. National Institutional Ranking Framework, international level companies are also reaching there. 50 students of B.Tech Computer Science, 46 students of Electronics, 47 students of Electrical and 41 students of Civil Engineering have been selected.
Regarding this, the placement in-charge of NIT Patna said that about ten students have been selected on an annual package of Rs 35 lakh. These selective students are waiting for big companies. However, last year a girl student was selected on an annual package of 56 lakhs. Earlier, a student from here was selected on a package of Rs 1 crore. Last time there were 110 placements. So far 57 companies have registered.

What is pre-placement?
It is also called PPO i.e. Pre-Placement Offer. It runs from the first week of August to April. Companies have been invited for this. Looks at students’ projects and skills. The company first organizes a pre-placement talk, where the students are given complete information about the company and its requirements.
Placement in charge of NIT Prof. Shailesh M Pandey said, ’50 percent students are placed during pre-placement. Mechanical students got best placement. So far 70 percent students have been selected.
