Indian fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami and Mohammad Siraj are performing well in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Shami has taken 16 wickets, Bumrah 15 and Siraj 10. India is riding a victory chariot and has booked its ticket for the semi-finals. The Indian pace attack is being praised worldwide. Many considered him to be India’s best limited over fast bowling attack. However, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly doesn’t think so.
Speaking to Sports Talk, Ganguly said, “I can’t say that this is India’s best pace attack so far. Zaheer Khan, Javagal Srinath and Ashish Nehra bowled brilliantly in World Cup 2003.” Ganguly, however, praised Bumrah. He said that Bumrah has also left an impact on the other two fast bowlers with his lethal bowling. He said, “It’s great to see Bumrah, Siraj and Shami in action. Bumrah is a class bowler and his presence has a huge impact on the other two.
Shami had to sit out the first four matches of the World Cup. After Hardik Pandya’s injury, Shami got a chance in consecutive matches and bowled brilliantly. He took five wickets against New Zealand, four against England, five against Sri Lanka and two against South Africa. “Shami should be in the playing XI right from the start,” Ganguly said. You see for yourself the impact he has left.” Let us tell you that India will face Netherlands in the last league match on Sunday. Along with this, India will face New Zealand in the semi-final.
