New Delhi. The performance of the Pakistan cricket team in the Asia Cup has been excellent so far. Surprisingly for a team fighting for a place in the finals, they have now not batted once in Sri Lanka. Pakistan team got a chance to bat in the home match and after that they are waiting for their turn.
In the Asia Cup, Pakistan’s team topped the group stage and made it to the Super 4. Won the first match of Super 4 and now he came to play in the match against India but the surprising thing is that till now he could not bat in Sri Lanka. Even after playing two matches against the Indian team for two days, the turn of the Pakistan team could not come.
Pakistan wanted to bat
Pakistan and Sri Lanka are jointly hosting the Asia Cup. Out of the total 13 matches, 9 are being played in Sri Lanka while 4 are being played in Pakistan. After a strong start to the tournament playing at home against Nepal, Pakistan won the Super 4 against Bangladesh. But he did not get to bat against India in the match played in Sri Lanka.
After India were all out in the first match, rain came and the match had to be abandoned. On September 10, the Indian team was batting in a Super 4 match when rain stopped the match after 24.1 overs. This match is scheduled to be held on 11th September i.e. Reserve Day, if it rains after India’s batting there too, then once again Pakistan will be left waiting for its batting in Sri Lanka.
India-Pakistan Super 4 Match on Reserve Day
Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and chose to bowl first against India in the Super 4 match. India scored 147 runs for 2 wickets in 24.1 overs on the back of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill’s century partnership. The match was stopped due to rain and did not resume, after which it was decided to complete it on Reserve Day.
