Pakistan team stranded in visas, trip canceled, may be delayed in coming to India

New Delhi. The World Cup is less than two weeks away. All the teams are fully prepared for the tour of India ahead of the mega tournament. But the Pakistan team is caught in the visa trap. Among the nine teams coming to India, the Pakistani team is the only one whose visa issue is not resolved. The biggest example of this proved to be Pakistan’s trip to Dubai which was canceled due to a visa issue.

The Pakistani team had to go to Dubai to set up a camp before the World Cup. But the Indian government has not approved the visa for the Pakistani team till Friday. Due to which now this Dubai trip has been cancelled. Before the mega tournament, Pakistan is scheduled to play a practice match against New Zealand in Hyderabad, before which the team had to stay in Dubai for a few days before going to Hyderabad. But after the cancellation of this tour, Pakistan is now planning to fly from Lahore.

The visa application was made a week ago

The Pakistan team has been caught in this mystery since a week ago i.e. a week before the visa application. Despite such alarming situation, assurance is being given from Pakistan. If the management is to be believed, it is being said that the visa will be available on time. The Pakistan team has toured India only once in the last 10 years, for the T20 World Cup in 2016.
