The two-day G-20 summit concluded in Delhi. Meanwhile, PM Modi gave instructions and handed over the chairmanship of the G-20 virtual summit to be held in Brazil in November. During the closing, PM Modi said that yesterday we talked about one earth and one family. An extensive discussion took place in the session. He said, “I am satisfied that today the G-20 has become a platform for optimistic efforts on One Earth, One Family and One Future.” Here we are talking about a future in which we move beyond the global village and see the global family becoming a reality. A future in which not only interests of countries but also hearts are connected.

PM Modi said that I have continuously drawn your attention to a human centric vision rather than a GDP centric approach. Today many countries like India have a lot that we are sharing with the whole world. India has spoken of sharing Chandrayaan mission data with everyone in the interest of humanity. This is proof of our commitment to human-centric development.
India has harnessed technology for inclusive growth and last mile delivery. Even the smallest traders in our smallest villages are making digital payments. I am happy that under India’s chairmanship, a strong framework for digital public infrastructure has been agreed upon. Also, the “G20 Principles on Using Data for Development” have been adopted.
It has also been decided to launch a Data Offer Development Capacity Building Initiative for the development of the Global South. The formation of the Startup-20 Engagement Group under India’s presidency is also a major step.
