Team India has taken a 1-0 lead in the ODI series.
New Delhi. Team India is currently facing South Africa in the ODI series. Blue Army has started the series with a win. After this series, the teams of India and South Africa will clash in the Test series. But before this, the luck of a player of the Indian team has shone. Young batsman Ishan Kishan has withdrawn from the Test series due to personal reasons and has returned to India.
The selectors have given a chance to KS Bharat in place of Ishan Kishan. Bharath has had chances in the Test team before but failed to hit fours that time. Bharat was dropped from the Indian selectors’ plans due to a poor performance in 5 matches. Not only Bharat but also Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have not been selected in the team. But after Ishan Kishan withdrew his name, KS Bharath got the advantage as a wicketkeeper. It will be nothing less than a golden opportunity for him if he is included in the playing eleven. Bharat played 5 Test matches for Team India in which he scored only 129 runs in 8 innings. His highest score has been 44.
When will the test series start?
The Test series between India and South Africa will start from December 26. The second test will be held from January 3. Veteran players like captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will return from India in the Test. KL Rahul will be the first option as a wicketkeeper. Now it remains to be seen whether Bharat gets a chance in one of the Tests or not.
