Punjab For a 73-year-old woman from (Punjab), her own home turned into a living hell. This was done by none other than the son, whom the woman took care of and educated so that he could become a lawyer. The video clearly shows that the woman is being tortured and brutally beaten by her son, daughter-in-law and her grandson. Finally, the lawyer is arrested based on the evidence of the CCTV camera he himself installed in his mother’s room. However, before his arrest, the lawyer said he was serving his mother.

Asha Rani lived in Rupnagar, Punjab with her son, daughter and daughter-in-law. Her husband had recently died of a heart attack. He told his daughter Deepshikha that his son Ankur Verma and his wife Sudha used to beat him. Daughter Asha managed to get footage from the CCTV camera in Rani’s room and was shocked by what she saw.
In one of the videos, the victim’s grandson can be seen pouring water on Asha Rani’s mattress and then complaining to her parents about bedwetting. Ankur and Sudha come to see this. In the video, Ankur can be seen attacking the woman lying on the bed. He punches her on the back, slapping her repeatedly. He seems to be yelling at the old lady as well. This lasts for about a minute.
The sprout is gone. After this, Sudha and the old lady’s grandson are seen entering the room. Sudha points and says something. After this, Ankur comes in again and holds his mother by her hair and shakes her head repeatedly. While doing this, he is seen slapping her and punching her on the head. His wife and son leave the room, but he continues to beat his mother.
In another video, Sudha is slapping Asha Rani and the grandson is pulling her. The attack videos are from September 19, October 21 and October 24.
Based on Deepshikha’s complaint, a team of police and NGO people reached Asha Rani’s house on Saturday and rescued her. During this time, Ankur said he took care of his mother, who was “not in a good mental state”.
Regarding the matter, a police official said, “Ankur has been arrested and charged with causing hurt, false imprisonment and Section 24 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act. Sections.”
