Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is once again in the news. The discussion is about a picture in which he is seen standing with a woman. On Friday (October 27), some people on Twitter shared pictures of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a green T-shirt, claiming that he had gone on a “surprise visit” to Uzbekistan. Not only this, people on social media also questioned the presence of the woman seen in the pictures and asked, who is this woman in the brown shirt with Rahul? These pictures are becoming very viral.
Now the Congress has told the truth behind the viral pictures. The lady in the picture is none other than Rahul Gandhi’s childhood friend’s wife. In the pictures, Rahul Gandhi is with his childhood friend Amitabh Dubey and Amitabh’s wife Amulya. In a scathing post on Twitter, Congress spokesperson Supriya Srinet hit out at “BJP trolls” for making the pictures go viral.
Supriya Srinet wrote, “Stupid Sanghi and Rs 2 BJP troll – I feel sorry for you, as you have neither friends nor people who like to hang out with you. The gentleman in the picture is Rahul Gandhi. Amitabh is Dubey’s childhood friend and this woman is Amitabh’s wife Amulya.
Amitabh Dubey, pictured with Rahul, joined TS Lombard in 2007 and co-heads the company’s India team, which focuses on politics and governance. Amitabh has previously worked as a political analyst and business journalist in India with publications such as Business Standard and Business India Television.
Even before this, many people have shared these pictures of Rahul Gandhi with different claims. The official Twitter handle of Bharatiya Janata Party’s Karnataka unit also shared pictures of Rahul Gandhi and wrote, “Foreign puppet Rahul Gandhi embarks on yet another mysterious foreign trip. Be prepared for the impact when he returns!”
