Voting is underway for 199 out of 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan (Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023). Voting will continue till 6 pm. This time, both the Congress and BJP parties are claiming a big victory in the elections. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had said a few days ago that like Kerala, this time also we will create history by registering victory in Rajasthan for the second time in a row. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Rajasthan appealed to the public to help the BJP win by a bigger margin this time.

Important information regarding the case:

  1. Due to the death of Congress candidate and sitting MLA Gurmeet Singh Kunnar in Karanpur assembly constituency of Ganganagar district, polling will be delayed here. Chief Electoral Officer of Rajasthan Praveen Gupta said that polling will start from 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. The election is a direct contest between the ruling party Congress and BJP. Along with this, 6 small parties have also entered the election field.

  2. A total of 51,890 polling stations have been set up for voting in Rajasthan. 5 crore 26 lakh 90 thousand 146 voters will decide the fate of 1862 candidates in the election. The electorate includes 1,70,99,334 youth voters in the age group of 18-30 years, including 22,61,008 new voters in the age group of 18-19 years.

  3. Tight security arrangements have been made at the polling stations. Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that voting will be held from 7 am to 6 pm on Saturday, for which all preparations have been completed.

The leaders who are trying their luck in the elections from the Congress this time include Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Congress State President Govind Singh Dotsara, Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, Assembly Speaker CP Joshi, Ministers Shanti Dhariwal, BD Kalla, Bhanwar Singh Bhati. , Saleh Mohammad, Mamta.   9. Live webcasting is taking place from a total of 26,393 polling stations. These polling centers are being monitored from the district level control rooms. 65,277 ballot units, 62,372 control units and 67,580 VVPAT machines (including reserve) are being used for voting across the state.

  10. Around one lakh security personnel have been deployed to ensure free, fair and peaceful conduct of the Rajasthan assembly elections. Apart from this, 6,287 ‘Micro Observers’ and 6247 Sector Officers have been appointed. Similarly, 2,74,846 polling staff are voting.
