The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday expelled its leader Sandeep Dayma in Alwar for commenting on a gurudwara and a mosque during a recent rally in Tijara constituency. BJP Rajasthan disciplinary committee chairman Omkar Singh Lakhawat said, ‘Sandeep Dayma has been expelled from the party on the direction of the state president for making a statement against the ideology of the party.’

The development follows widespread criticism of Dayma’s remarks at a rally held in Tijara during the nomination of party candidate Baba Balaknath. Punjab BJP leaders opposed Sandeep Dayma’s statement. Punjab unit chief Sunil Jakhd and Captain Amarinder Singh demanded strict action against Sandeep Dayma.
Captain Amarinder Singh wrote on X that I request the BJP high command to immediately expel Sandeep Dayman from the party for his hateful remarks against mosques and gurudwaras. His apology means nothing because his comments have already hurt so many good people. Not only should he be expelled, but legal action should be taken, because no one should be allowed to get away with an apology after inciting hate speech.
