In this match, Rajat Patidar opened, while in the first match he landed at number three. He also participated in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in October. He failed in the first two matches of that tournament, but batted brilliantly in the next three matches.

He scored 7 runs in the first match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this season and managed to score only 2 runs in the next match. However, he scored 47 runs in the third match, 50 runs in the fourth match and 68 runs in the fifth match for his team. The Madhya Pradesh team played 6 matches, one of which was washed out due to rain, while the team lost the next two matches. However, the team won the next three matches by large margins.
