He has won 5 ICC titles for the Australian team under his captaincy. After retirement he said that it is difficult for me to retire from international cricket.
Meg Lanning said in a video posted by Cricket Australia, “It was a difficult decision for me to step away from international cricket, but I feel now is the right time for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed my 13-year international career. But I know now is the right time for me to do something new. I am proud of what I have achieved and will cherish the moments I shared with my teammates.”
