Centurion. The Indian team is fully prepared for the two-match Test series against South Africa. Team India wants to create history by winning the Test series in South Africa for the first time. Indian captain Rohit Sharma on Monday said that as a leader, he wants his team to achieve what other Indian teams have failed to achieve in South Africa in the past.
India have never had success there since the first Test series in South Africa in 1992. The Indian team will play a two-Test series against South Africa from Tuesday. “I want to achieve what no one in this part of the world has achieved,” Rohit said at a press conference held on the eve of the match.
Rohit Sharma continued, “Look, this is going to be a big series for us. We have played here many times before but no Indian team has won a Test series. It will be a good experience to do one thing here, our team is strong and has the power to beat South Africa in the Test series. Here we will try our best to win and will be very happy if it happens.
Rohit doesn’t want to talk about his cricketing future and says he just wants to enjoy the game. “I want to play whatever cricket is left for me,” he said without revealing his plans.
A two-match Test series
India will play its first match on Boxing Day. The match will be played between December 26 and 30 at Centurion’s SuperSport Park. The Indian team is going to start the new year with the second match of this series. The match will be played between the two teams in Cape Town from January 3 to 7.
